Clover Pass Christian School

Teaching students to think, learn and live from a Biblical worldview.

Clover Pass Christian Preschool & Daycare
is licensed by the state of Alaska and a member of NAEYC.  All classrooms provide a structured, fun, family-style environment, which promotes learning and building friendships, while encouraging every child to reach their full potential-all in a safe, fun-loving, Christian atmosphere.

Infants

We work closely with parents in the early development of the children in this class.  Daily activities are strategically planned for all ages and stages to nurture each child.  The infants experience a relaxed, fun, loving environment where their individual needs are met.  Daily reports help to foster a parent/teacher team, which creates the best possible learning environment. We want you to feel free to give us your input and hope to work together to make your experience here the best possible.  We look forward to meeting you and getting to know you and your family.

Toddlers

The Toddler classroom is designed to meet the expanding needs of our young learners. Our basic goal for toddlers is to provide developmentally appropriate activities, which encourage spiritual, social, emotional, physical and language development. Ample opportunities are given for solitary and parallel play, which leads to cooperative play. Activities are also planned to enhance large and small muscle development. Self-help skills and toilet training are a very important part of the daily program. Your child will experience activities such as finger painting, book reading, storytelling, singing, dancing, and exploring outside.

Because children are always exploring and moving, our classroom is designed for active play. There are activity centers to explore which include housekeeping, art, fine motor activities, book corners, blocks, and cars. Every day we strive to show the children we love them, but most importantly, Jesus loves them!

Preschool

All children in the preschool program will experience a variety of activities including Bible, phonics, math, center play, creative movement, outside or gym time and more. In addition to our daily A-Beka Curriculum, your child will experience activities such as finger painting, book reading, storytelling, singing, dancing, and exploring outside, all of which are part of our very busy daily schedule.

Bible stories are taught every morning, as well as weekly memory verses. Teachers help the children to apply what they’ve learned throughout the day. Bible verses and concepts are referenced when correcting a child’s behavior. Every day we strive to show the children we love them, but most importantly, Jesus loves them!

Before/After School Care

In the before school program, children have an opportunity to eat breakfast and play outside or in the gym before school. Clover Pass Christian School students are transferred to their classroom, while Point Higgins Elementary School students are escorted by a teacher to the bus stop.  After school, Clover Pass students are transferred to the After School program. Point Higgins Students are picked up at the bus stop by a teacher and escorted to the After School Program.  The children have an opportunity to eat snack, work on homework, and get all their energy out before pick up time!

 Discovery Daycamp

During school breaks and holidays children are provided opportunities to build friendships through small and large group activities, enhance creativity through art, practice critical thinking through science, explore the community they live in through field trips, and be encouraged through daily devotions and prayer.
